The Niger State Police Command has arrested a female ammunition courier and several kidnap suspects in a major security operation.
The Niger State Police Command has arrested a female suspect who was allegedly transporting ammunition to bandits in the state. The suspect, identified as Hauwa Ibrahim, was apprehended at a checkpoint with 500 rounds of AK-47 ammunition concealed in her vehicle. In a separate operation, police operatives also arrested three suspected kidnappers who had been terrorizing communities in the Shiroro Local Government Area. The suspects confessed to being members of a notorious kidnapping gang responsible for several abductions in recent months. The state Commissioner of Police commended the officers for their vigilance and assured residents that the command is committed to ridding the state of criminal elements.
